Today I got down and dirty with the house cleaning.

I sure needed this, whew!

My goodness does it feel wonderful to have the floors shining and everything (almost everything) organized!
Its like the fresh new feeling you get after you have moved into a new house!

I saw these rubber gloves while I was searching for a picture and thought they were so cute! I have to mention that my rubber gloves and I have developed a great relationship. I am thankful for them because I didn't waste my time yesterday painting my nails. My nails still look pretty and glossy even after all that elbow work :P

I typically deep clean on the weekends while Benjamin is home so he can watch Winnie. I am still learning how to manage the baby, house, cooking, working, blogging and keeping myself looking decent lol!
But there isn't anything else I would like to be doing that's for sure! I love being a wife and mom and I am so thankful to the Lord for all that He has blessed me with!

I can't wait to post more about my Bible study. We met again last night and it was just wonderful. There are about 16 of us. We spend our first hour all cooking together, the second hour is spent going through our study and third is spent eating and visiting. Its so much fun.

The verse our study is founded on is in Titus 2:3-5  Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

I have enjoyed these women so much already and have been greatly encouraged and inspired by them. The cooking part is really fun and entertaining. With sixteen women in the kitchen you can imagine! :P
I'll post all the recipes we have been cooking sometime soon.

Okay, I better get back to cleaning out the cabinets and pantry now that Winnie is taking his nap!
All of you who are dealing with the cold weather,
may the Lord bless you and keep you!

The cleaning bug is hitting me, too! I want to throw open all the windows and air everything out and clean behind the dressers and all of that good springtime stuff. :)

Unfortunately, it's not warm enough for that yet...and even more unfortunately, Shav is sick, and it's hard to do a whole lot with a sick baby in the house. Poor little guy.

Those are the cutest rubber gloves I've seen. I love them! I've finally gotten in the habit of using rubber gloves when I hand wash dishes. The eczema on my hands is so bad and is really aggravated by water and soap.

Have fun cleaning and organizing! :)

I do my top to bottom house clean on a Monday and I know what you mean about feeling so good once it is done.

I love the sound of your Bible study, all cooking together first. Sounds like such fun.

Enjoy the rest of your cleaning!

I know Davene that is how I feel! And it makes it harder when you can't get in and tackle it! I am sorry little Shav has been sick. I hope he will be feeling better very soon.

Kirsteen, I love that you clean the house spotless on Mondays! Monday is a good day for that.

You would enjoy our Bible study so much! Especially the cooking part! Everyone scurrying around trying to complete a recipe! Its such fun!

I don't know why, but posts like this always make me feel inspired and cozy. There is something that warms my heart about thinking of you and those I love cleaning out. I guess it is just the nester in me that enjoys other nesters... and because you are so precious to me, I enjoy it all the more. We are so blessed today sweetie, just wanted to let you know. I will talk to you a little later when I get the chance.
Love you so much,
Mom
