Christmas Tree Decorating

A few weeks back when my Mom was visiting we were at Hobby Lobby, she and I were looking for some inexpensive ideas for decorating the tree and she suggested this fun idea.
I am so pleased with my little decorations and how easy this was!
Here are a few pictures showing how and what I did.
I just bought some plain white bulbs from Hobby Lobby that happened to be half off.
I picked out some pretty tissue paper. I was looking for a pretty red but couldn't find a patterned I liked so I went with this brownish pattern.
Some Mod Podge gloss finish glue.
Then I cut out a pattern from the tissue paper and placed it on the bulb and painted the glue over the tissue paper as well as the rest of the bulb.
And voila!
They came out looking so pretty!

I am so pleased with my Mom's fun idea!
I have all these ideas now of how to make gorgeous looking bulbs with a bunch of pretty tissue paper patterns. It would look so nice to do a red and black pattern or a silver and white pattern.
The most difficult part would have been cutting out the patterns. It was a little time consuming, but in the end very much worth it!

~This is the one that Grandma made and gave to me. I just love it!

~Beautiful glass pearls

~The necklace clasp that is so pretty!

~ Matching bracelet

Here are some pictures of the finished delights! I had a ball with Grandma making these. She is so helpful and her ideas are great in her patterns. She also gave me a necklace that she made awhile ago. I am going to have a lot of fun putting these necklaces together with some outfits.

Fry Bread and Wreath Making

Today I went over to my sister Himilce's. She had found all of this great Christmas decoration stuff for 90 % off. She had told me about it after she had bought a lot and had made a really pretty Christmas wreath. So today we went back to the store and had so much fun picking out what I wanted and then we went back to her place, had lunch and watched a movie while we played and worked at our wreaths. She helped me with all of it, including the bow, which was quite difficult for me. I think I can muster up the courage to make another one now that she showed me so well. Thanks Himilce! It was such a nice day!!! :)

The other day our friends from Colorado, who has just moved here recently, brought us a deep frier that they were getting rid of. I have never cooked with one and I have never fried anything. We have had such a ball make french fries, potato chips and Indian Fry Bread! Oh my goodness! I don't know if it was such a good thing for us to have taken it now!!! We are going to have heart problems if we don't watch ourselves :) Those french fries are delicious!!! :)
